Honor increases from donations last exactly one year from the date of the donation. When you donate with PayPal using the same email address as your FM account, your Honor increase will be immediate. Otherwise, it might take some time to process.
Donations also give you a unique donation rank in your profile and on all posts. Donation ranks are cumulative and never expire.

Deductions only apply to individuals not meeting any of the $20+ donation levels in the chart above.
Your participation also helps the site become a better community, and you can earn Honor that way, as well. If you post at least once a week in the forum or in the gallery (commenting on another's work), you will earn Honor points. Every week that you don't participate you lose Honor points.

Here's an example. You have a 60% honor level. If you don't participate (post in the forum or comment in the gallery at least once) for two weeks, your Honor level will drop to 59%.
If you don't post for two more weeks (for a total of 4), your Honor level will drop to 57%. If you still don't post, you will lose 3% every additional week that you don't post.
For some this might seem harsh, but it's fair. For this community to continue to thrive, we need both money and your participation.
